Update on BPRD Property Options Related to South Bismarck Flood Control Project

Gabe Schell, City of Bismarck Engineer, presented an update on the South Bismarck Flood Control Project to the Bismarck Board of Park Commissioners at its Jan. 17 meeting.

He reviewed the potential impacts to park district property for the Bismarck Expressway alternative and discussed the public meeting held with Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD) on Dec. 11. BPRD Executive Director Kevin Klipfel shared results of the public survey that was open from Dec. 12-30.

Schell reported he is working on a third option that would include impacts at both Clem Kelley Athletic Complex and Dakota Zoo. Information about the project and its alternatives are posted on the City of Bismarck website.
