Get Ready for New General Sibley RV Campsite Reservation System This Year

In 2024, there is a new online reservation system for RV campsites at General Sibley Park & Campground. It’s the same system Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD) customers use to reserve park shelters (also new in 2024!), purchase memberships and register for activities.

Reservations open Wednesday, March 27, at 8am for the 2024 General Sibley camping season that runs Friday, May 3, through Monday, Oct. 7.

Be Prepared for Opening Day – Set Up Your Online Account

Get ready now for camping season at General Sibley Park by setting up a new BPRD account (or updating an existing one) in ActiveNet (accounts from the old Sibley system will not transfer to the new system). You may already have a BPRD account, even if you’ve never logged in online before, if you signed up for an activity or membership or reserved a space in person or by phone. Helpful Tips for Using the New Online System

  • There are two recommended options to make RV campsite reservations:
    • Reserve by campground map to search availability of all sites for specific dates (not designed for use on small screens such as smartphones). Want a sneak peak of how the map option works? Check out the Sertoma Park map now or watch our video.
    • Select a specific campsite and then choose dates.
    • View instructions.
  • The campsite you are booking is not “reserved” until placed in the Shopping Cart (don’t use the “Add new date and time” or “Add a booking” links). If payment is not made within an hour, all items will be removed from the Shopping Cart.
  • All campsite reservation details are included in your permit, which will be emailed after you complete your transaction. Or access permits anytime online via the Account Payment Details button when logged into your account. Filter receipts by date, module (reservations) and family member.

Campsite reservations are also accepted in person at 5001 S. Washington St. or by phone at 701-222-1844.

  • Wednesday, March 27 – 8am-4pm
  • Thursday, March 28 – 8am-12pm
  • Monday-Friday in April – 12-2pm
