Bismarck Board of Park Commissioners Brief for Sept. 15, 2022
Kathy Feist, Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD) finance director, reviewed the 2023 Operating Budget. The Bismarck Board of Park Commissioners held its public hearing on the budget, but no public comment was provided. The Board approved the second reading of the budget resolution and mill levy and adopted the 2023 Operating Budget.
The Board approved the bid for the Tom O’Leary Water Intake Project from Edling Electric Inc. in the amount of $98,120.
The Board approved the property transfer agreement with Ducks Unlimited Inc. to donate the Clairmont Family Conservation Park land (116.86 acres) to the park district.
The Board approved a park development agreement for a neighborhood park in Silver Ranch 3rd and 4th Additions.
The Board approved the naming of a new neighborhood park in northwest Bismarck as Promontory Point Park.
The Board approved the extension of the Capital Ice Complex Concessions Agreement with Bismarck Hockey Boosters through Aug. 31, 2023; authorized staff to call for bids for VFW/Tom O’Leary and Riverwood concessions providers; appointed Commissioner Jordan to the Sleepy Hollow Park Liaison Committee and Commissioner Monson to the Forestry Advisory Board; and approved the selection of KLJ as consultant for the Tyler Parkway Shared Use Path Projects.
The next regularly scheduled Board meeting is Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, at 5:15 p.m. in the Tom Baker Meeting Room.
