BisParks BCycle Offers New Recreational Opportunity in Bismarck
Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD) launched the new BisParks BCycle bike share program on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the Sertoma Park Bike Station, 300 Riverside Park Road.
BisParks BCycle offers residents and visitors the opportunity to rent a bike to explore the community with stations located at Sertoma Park, Pioneer Park, BSC Aquatic & Wellness Center, and Peace Park. The program’s classic pedal bikes give people the chance to get active and enjoy Bismarck’s extensive shared use trail system and the great outdoors. Rides are $5 for the first hour and $.07 for each additional minute until a bike is returned to a station.
The program was founded by the 2020 Leadership Bismarck-Mandan Project Team. Program sponsors include Blue Cross Blue Shield ND Caring Foundation, North Dakota Department of Health Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant, Basin Electric Power Cooperative and MDU Resources Group Inc. Bike sponsors include Daniel Companies, First International Bank & Trust, Hatch Realty and Northern Plains Heritage Foundation. Bike sponsorships for the 2022-2023 season are still available.
