Bismarck Parks 2019 Highlights

We’re just about ready to greet a new decade, but we have to pause for just a moment to be incredibly grateful for a great 2019. Bismarck Parks and Recreation (BPRD) had another year of developing parks, providing opportunities for fitness and offering fun programs in diverse facilities. We opened the community’s first splash pad at New Generations Park, continued construction on eight new softball fields at Cottonwood Park, and added fitness equipment to Kiwanis Park, to just name a few of the highlights. BPRD staff continued to maintain a high level of service for a growing population. With the help of innovative partnerships and community involvement, BPRD was able to achieve great things for Bismarck in 2019. We were honored to receive one of Governor Burgum’s Main Street Awards; the Livability for All Ages Award. Work continues on the results of a Facilities Master Plan and a Feasibility Study. We will continue to involve the community and our partners in additional discussions moving forward. This video is just a snapshot of what the year looked like. Here’s to 2020; a new year and a new decade with new opportunities.
